WHY IS IT SO COLD...WHEN OUR PLANET IS WARMING?

MANY  FOLKS are asking about "global warming", when we are experiencing one of the worse winters in recorded history.
WELL,  SUCH QUESTIONS are understandable, when coming from younger people, who have not lived long enough to remember any worse winters.  But when older folks say this is the worse in their memory, then people should pay attention.  Of course, the young should pay more attention to the wisdom & experience of seniors anyway.  But then, that is another topic for another time.
HOWEVER.....it is a fact, that the city of Baltimore's record keeping (since 1870) has noted the heaviest snowfalls, resulting in  three of the worse having happened  within the recent seven weeks.  This is not even to mention the fact that many sectors in the deep south have experienced snow events, in places where the severity has rarely--if ever--been seen.
WHAT  IS  HAPPENING?  According to the U.S. Global Change Research Program, they predicted (LAST  FALL) that more extreme storms were yet to come.  To quote this agency-- "Strong cold season storms are likely to become stronger & more frequent, with greater wind speeds & more extreme wave heights".
FURTHERMORE....sources say record amounts of moisture, due to warming oceans, have been pushed up from the south, where this encounters cold temperatures--thus causing extreme snow events.  It seems that all over the world, temperatures on the surface are causing  more evaporation of ocean water, which is resulting in erratic weather patterns.
AND AS  WE  ALL  WELL KNOW ..... what goes up must come down.  So it follows, that this saturated atmosphere, which is apparently evident,   obviously is resulting in the form of stronger hurricanes in summer and extreme snow events in winter.
LET'S  FACE  IT....no matter how the naysayers complain, that climate change is bogus, the facts do not lie.   Weather is changing!  It is a fact, that the glaciers are melting & the oceans are warming. Thus causing more severe weather changes, which often come in the form of altered ice & snow weather patterns.
SO, WE  ARE  LEFT  TO  PONDER.....what is next?  Many will even question whether a move to a warmer sector might be good for them.  Of course, that will be left to the individual or family to decide.  But keep in mind, that every region has it's own dangers, and there is no perfect place.
WE  ARE  WHERE  WE  ARE  FOR  A  REASON......at this point in time.  After all,  we are but pawns on God's chessboard of life.  And it is left for each of us to do the best we can wherever we are.

TAKE  HEART...THERE'S  ONLY  A  COUPLE  MONTHS  'TIL  SPRING !

Thanks Beryl, Climate is not the same as short term weather variations either. Here's a good site with all sorts of reliable scientific info on the issue:

Cheers & Good Luck, JMP
